Corey MendozaCelebrity Dancer
Corey Mendoza was born in 1962. At the age of 7 he moved to Prescott with his mom, dad and little brother. When Corey was 14, he became a big brother again when his parents adopted two little girls from the Philippines. Growing up, Corey enjoyed being a part of the Boy Scouts as well as wrestling in high school. After high school, he attended the Diesel Mechanics program at Yavapai College. He married his wife, Robin, in 1985 and they moved to Chino Valley in 1987. They have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, son-in-law and eight year old granddaughter. As a diesel mechanic, Corey traveled working on highway construction projects for a number of years. In 1997, he and his wife started their own local dump truck business, C & R Trucking. Corey and his wife (his biggest fan) have toured the entire United States on their motorcycle. As a family, they have raced stock cars and off-road vehicles, and have made countless trips to the sand dunes with other many other families. The two things that excite Corey the most these days are his granddaughter off-road racing and his love for skydiving. Corey was honored to be chosen to be part of a 65 person group that currently holds the world record for the largest night formation skydive. Corey recognizes how fortunate he is to have been raised in the Prescott/Chino Valley area with a great family, successful business and many friends. This is why when he was asked to run for Town Council in Chino Valley he couldn’t say no. He is currently on his second term, and believes it is a privilege as well as a duty to do what he can for the area that has given him so many opportunities.
