Barry Barbe

Celebrity Dancer
Originally, from a small town in Ohio, Barry began his dance career as a young prodigy of the Cleveland Ballet Company, touring throughout the mid west at the age of 8 in productions such as Don Quixot, Giselle, and Swan Lake. Things changed however when he was cast in the 1983 hit film Flash Dance with Jennifer Beales. (A small role, which ultimately opened many doors.) A child of the 80's, and with youthful pop influences, he participated in the 1984 Michael Jackson hit Pepsi commercial, which aired internationally for several years. This was followed by a brief appearance in the Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey hit film, Dirty Dancing. A return to his roots allowed him the opportunity to travel extensively with the internationally acclaimed Bolshoi Ballet Company - a lifetime dream come true. However, tragedy struck when preparing for an overseas tour, he was diagnosed with a severe case of Cankles and was unable to travel abroad. None of this of course is true. Barry and his wife Lori, have been residents of Prescott for over 20 years and are proprietors of El Gato Azul, in downtown Prescott. Along with their four soon to be grown children, they participate and support several local organizations and non-profits.
